These Eight Sabbats are the major festivals of the witches calender.They form the Wheel Of The Year.They are to celebrate the seasons,sowing,growing and reaping,the cycle of the God and Goddess. Samhain,Imbolg,Beltane and Lammas are the Major Sabbats.Yule and Litha are Soltices.At Yule the days are at their shortest and the nights at their longest.At Litha the days reach their longest and the nights their shortest.Oestara and Madron are Equinoxes.Here the days and nights are equal.
