A mojo bag is a charm bag,used for attracting or getting rid of certain influences. They can be made from leather or flannel,or even from something personal of your own such as an old t-shirt. I made mine from an old t-shirt. The bag can be worn either round your neck,in your bag or purse,or in your pocket.
To make the mojo bag work properly for you,it needs to contain the correct things, with the right magical vibrations for that certain spell or purpose.For example if you want to bring luck or protection,then use herbs,feathers amulets e.t.c. Take a look at my magical herbs section to find the right herbs for your purpose.
To make your bag you need to cut a medium or large circle from a piece of leather or some other fabric. Put small holes all around the edge and thread some cord,leather strap or string through them. Place your items in the bag and pull the string up tightly. To make your bag even more personal,you could use a small piece of your hair.
After you have made your bag,it is important to cleanse it,to rid it of all negativity and bad vibrations.
I use this simple ritual to cleanse my bags. Light two white candles,one dedicated to the goddess,the other to the God.Hold the bag in your hands and say :-
O, ANCIENT GODS OF EARTH AND ALL ELEMENTAL SPIRITS OF THE NORTH,
LET THIS MOJO BAG BE NOW CLEANSED AND CHARGED WITH THE MYSTICAL
ENERGY OF YOUR DEVINE WHITE LIGHT.
BLESSED BE IN THE NAME OF THE GODDESS AND IN THE NAME OF HER CONSORT
THE GREAT HORNED GOD
SO MOTE IT BE.
Lastly with the candles still lit,hold your bag in cupped hands and breathe into it,as you do,give the bag your intentions of what you want of it, i.e,protection,health,luck e.t.c,or even just a good day at work!!. Then pass the bag around the goddess candle,three times while saying:-
I CAST THIS SPELL BY THREE TIMES THREE
LET IT HARM NONE,NOR RETURN TO ME
AS I DO WILL,SO MOTE IT BE.
